লেখক: মীরা মুখোপাধ্যায় , Meera Mukherjee প্রকাশনী: বইপত্তরস্বনামখ্যাত শিল্পী-ভাস্কর মীরা মুখোপাধ্যায় এ দেশের লোকশিল্পী-কারিগরদের কাছ থেকে হাতেকলমে কাজ শিখতে ছত্তিশগড়ের বস্তার অঞ্চলে গিয়েছিলেন আজ থেকে প্রায় অর্ধশতকেরও আগে। কাজ শেখার সঙ্গে-সঙ্গে একদিকে তিনি যেমন তাঁদের জীবনযাপনের খুঁটিনাটি প্রায় নৃতাত্ত্বিকের চোখ দিয়ে দেখেছেন, তেমনই সে সময় থেকেই এ অঞ্চলের ওপর নেমে-আসা রাষ্ট্রীয় আক্রমণের চেহারাও দেখেছেন। দুর্ভাগ্যবশত, আজও তা অব্যাহত। বহু বছর পর আবার যখন বস্তারে গেছেন তিনি, তখন এ-ও দেখেছেন যে এই ধারাবাহিক আক্রমণের ফলে কী ভাবে সেখানকার জীবন ছিন্নভিন্ন হয়ে গেছে। বস্তার নিয়ে তাঁর দুটি লেখা যথাযথ টীকাভাষ্য-সহ এই বইয়ে সংকলিত হয়েছে।
